As
an entrepreneur I’m always short on time. Instead of using more of
my time for strategic questions and business opportunities I get
caught up in micro management and coordination of my team, projects
and activites. Since we're a web company we're trying to manage our
business with online tools as much as we can. However, flipping from
sales tool to project management tool or to another for communication
within the team and with clients takes too much time from everybody.
Sure there are good tools on the market, like Yammer , Zoho, Google
Docs and Salesforce, but those are only parts of a good IT system.
Some focus on CRM, other on document management and sharing, some
others are good in enterprise social network, but let's be honest...
how many tools do I have to use to accomplish a goal. It’s
stressful and at the end of the day, my business data is all over the
place. It all feels like a big mess.
I
would just love to see a platform which could cover most of my
business needs from a central location, easily accessible for my
whole team, and also available to our clients and suppliers. A place
where everything is customized for a single person, according to his
responsibilities and needs. A place where everyone feels at home. I
would like to see employees sharing information and updating their
work with ease. The technology should do all the heavy lifting and
data processing, using semantic concepts. People should spend little
time entering data, but the management should have tons of
information available to them. I would like to see agile and lean
business management methodologies implemented in the core of such a
platform.
After
all these wishful thinking, an incredible idea came to my mind that
could solve my problems that have been bugging me for some years.
We're going to develop a solid and free platform that will give
everyone an opportunity to manage their business, the way it is
supposed to be in the 21th century. Excel files, come on! Let's do it
online, collaborative, social, fast and secure, let's do it in the
cloud.
The
secret is in building a social business platform, which will perform
in a way that you haven’t seen on the market yet. It's a platform
connecting social network model with business applications and
addresses all the company needs for management, collaboration and
communication. We believe it will transform the way how we manage
business online, and not just onlnie. It will transform the nature of
management practice and create a new trend in social enterprise. We
would like to think that it will create a change, just like Google
did with Gmail.
No
more MS Office and other tools that cannot be integrated easily.
That’s one of the main points – everything on a single location,
available everywhere on every OS, cross browser compilat, available
on mobile phones and tablets. All the data will be stored safely
using modern cloud approaches. The companies will be relieved because
investments in infrastructure and license costs will be greatly
reduced by using a cloud solution and there will be no more
maintenance fees associated with such an application.
It's
like Facebook for business, more serious, but still engaging and
embracing. Social network combined with CRM, document storage and
sharing, sales management system and other business and non-business
applications every person needs at work.
The majority
of the applications will be developed by creative minds all over the
world. Developing apps is currently no. 1 trend in software business.
I’m sure that every software company in the world has an idea about
some kind of a useful application, to sell it big and have them
pasted on a global software map. To all of them, we'll be giving an
opportunity to develop applications and sell them on our own app
market.
What
can you expect from this »one of a kind« platform? How are we going
to surprise and engage you into loving every part of it?
We
will introduce new communication principles that will be closer to
social media communication but created with business purposes in
mind. This will finally give us the opportunity to get rid of
e-mails. As an old tool it has never been developed for business
communication and intelligence, because of this most of the existing
e-mail clients don't help us much. This kind of communication will
also help us shrink the gaps between teams, customers and everyone
who works with them.
A clear information flow and transparency of information is becoming more
and more crucial. We saw that if people don't know exactly what they
need to be doing, they are less motivated and they don't see their
real goals. This is why they make mistakes and spend a lot of time
doing things which are not relevant for the company goals. The new
layer of interaction and corporate engagement will not only increase
information sharing but also the feeling of being connected to the
company and the team through engaging in company's social network.
This can lead to more satisfaction at work and can boost
productivity, which is essential at the end.

Look

brainstorming sessions with my co workers and potential users. ideas
are flying high, it's not going to be easy but we love challenges. We
